What sets registered massage therapy apart is the expertise and professionalism of registered therapists. These practitioners have undergone rigorous training and education, ensuring they possess the knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective treatments. Your session will be customized to your specific needs, ensuring that every stroke and manipulation is targeted to optimize your health and comfort.

RMT doesn't just focus on the physical; it acknowledges the mind-body connection and the importance of relaxation. I have always loved working one on one with people. It was a major driver as to why I entered massage therapy. Health has also always been something I value highly. Combining these passions is what lead me to massage therapy. Diving head first into my career in 2015 I found myself still craving more knowledge. That’s when I bumped into someone on the bus. They had their arm bandaged and we got to talking. They excitedly told me about the treatment they were receiving. (Complete lymphatic decongestive therapy) that night I went home and could not tear my eyes away from the computer. Through my search I realized that lymphedema had been effecting a loved one for many years. That moment was a catalyst in my career. It drove me to take the full Vodder lymphatic program in one shot and follow it up with challenging the LANA exam. I was driven by the desire to give the care my loved one never had the chance to receive. If asked my patients would probably describe my treatment style as soothing and effective. One of my favorite lines is “you don’t need pain to create tissue change”

Today you can still find me reading studies, taking classes and excitedly discussing what my family lovingly calls “nerdy stuff”.

There are very few health care careers that allow the same level of therapeutic connection as Massage Therapy and I am thankful every day it found me.

Pamela is a self-proclaimed people person, so much so that she’s centered her career around it. She’s a Registered Clinical Counsellor and works as a counsellor in both a clinical and private setting. Her therapy is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and she has a keen interest in working through trauma. As such, she’s completed refugee and trauma training and Somatic Based Therapy training.

Pamela’s interest in counselling and trauma-based practices comes from her own experiences with anxiety and pain. After a car accident that left her on the receiving end of an injury, Pamela became interested in working with trauma and chronic pain and the connections of both with anxiety and depression. Learning to navigate her own relationship with anxiety, pain, and depression allows her to root herself in compassion as a practitioner.

Pamela’s connection to people has been a thread that she’s actively woven through the entirety of her career. Long before working in clinical and private settings, she actively exercised her therapeutic capacities in the community. For many years, Pamela both worked and volunteered her counselling skills in the non-profit sector. She previously offered accessible therapy to marginalized folks at both the individual level and in group-based counselling sessions. She did so because she believes that counselling should be accessible to everyone, despite their circumstances. She still makes time for community work and has a strong passion for providing low-barrier counselling to folks of the Punjabi community. She is able to offer counselling sessions in both English and Punjabi.

Previous to practicing as an RMT Miyuki spent 20 years working for an international community development organization. It has always been her passion to support communities in the most vulnerable stages to become self-sustainable. Even after transitioning to the RMT career, she carried the same passion to support the recovery process of her patients. It led her to attain a full certification of the Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT) in 2016. This training has made it possible to treat vulnerable conditions such as Primary and Secondary Lymphedema, Lipidema, Non-infected inflammatory conditions, Chronic sinusitis, Dermatological conditions, Pre- and post- plastic surgery, treating scar tissue, and so on. She has been working in lymphatic clinics since 2016 continuously learning and adding experiences with lymphatic pathologies. Miyuki is also certified in lymph taping.

In addition to Manual Lymph Drainage to treat lymphatic system, Miyuki treats patients’ visceral, craniosacral and/or myofascial system with gentle, non-aggressive techniques as appropriate in their healing stages.
